KUCHING: The Junior Chamber International (JCI) is the best platform for developing leaders, said Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang.

According to a press release, Lo said that throughout the term of presidents, the team will carry out multiple projects to serve the community.

“I strongly believes that the youth will be the ones pushing Kuching forward in the future and JCI is the best platform for developing leaders in the state,” he said.

He said this during the gracing ceremony of the 36th JCI Damai Installation and Awards Ceremony at Taka Patisserie Saradise here yesterday (Mar 2).

Meanwhile, during the event, JCI Damai president, Roy Tiong step into his new role with a wealth of experience and a passion for service.

“With a focus on Youth, Inclusivity and Leadership, I am poised to lead JCI Damai towards even greater heights of impact and engagement,” he said.

Tiong’s vision for the future also emphasised the importance of personal development, community involvement, and sustainable progress.

Outgoing president, Susananne Lee, has led the chapter with exemplary dedication and vision over the past year.

Under Lee’s guidance, JCI Damai has numerous impactful projects, empowering youths and fostering positive change within the community.

The 36th JCI Damai Installation and Awards Ceremony promises to be an inspiring and memorable event, celebrating the spirit of leadership, service, and community impact.

The annual event not only signifies the transition of leadership but also celebrates the accomplishments and contributions of outstanding individuals towards community development.

JCI is a global network of young active citizens, aged 18 to 40, who are dedicated to creating positive change in their communities.
