Jennifer Lopez is being honoured by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) for her extremely stylish career.
The multitalented singer, actress and dancer has been announced as the recipient of this year’s ‘Fashion Icon’ award at the CFDA Fashion Awards.

The ceremony, which honours the best of the US fashion industry every year, will take place in June.
“Jennifer Lopez uses clothes as a way to express confidence and power,” said CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg. “Both designers and fans look forward to her fashion statements.”

A statement on the CFDA Instagram page read: “Our 2019 Fashion Icon Jennifer Lopez showcases her unique style on the red carpet, on stage and in her everyday life. Whether it’s her iconic Versace tropical leaf silk chiffon dress or this stunning mirror mosaic Tom Ford dress she wore to the Oscars, she is without a doubt a fashion force.”

JLo confirmed the news by telling her 91 million Instagram followers that she is “truly excited” to win the award, sharing a video clip of some of her memorable red carpet looks.
