KUCHING: Studio units at the new Jigsaw condos, which is Hock Seng Lee’s (HSL) first high-rise living project, are nearly sold out.
According to a statement by HSL, all sales have come from a preview period starting Oct 26, opened exclusively to past clients, early registrants and staff.
On Nov 2, the Jigsaw sales gallery at La Promenade Mall will open to the public.
Aside from the studio units, there are also medium-sized units (over 1,000 sq ft with three bedrooms) and XL penthouses (two-storey units with atriums) which are selling well.
HSL sales and marketing assistant manager Angie Joan Daniel noted that now, there are fewer than a handful of one-bedroom studios left.
“The preview period showed there’s strong demand for premium condos, no matter the size. Studios are often a quick decision, whereas larger family units take a bit more time,” she said.
She pointed out that the remaining studios are 585 sq ft and come with ‘Standard’ or ‘Designer’ furnishing packages.
Other than that, over 60 per cent of Jigsaw units are 1,018 sq ft, while end units on each floor reach 1,743 sq ft with penthouses starting from 1,952 sq ft.
“Come to the gallery. We want you to experience premium materials like double-glazed windows that are a true luxury. All units at Jigsaw include double-glazed glass.
“In the showroom, we invite visitors to try lifting the actual windows – they’re so heavy! We’ve built a full-size mock-up unit so visitors can feel how quiet their condo will be, and try the memory foam mattress in the Designer furnishing package,” Angie said.
She added that HSL’s aim for Jigsaw is to bring the luxurious atmosphere of La Promenade, its flagship 200-acre gated community, to a broader market.
“HSL is offering a lot of greens and facilities at Jigsaw but with a monthly maintenance fee of only 21 sen per sq ft. This is the cheapest on the market.”
In the marketing materials, she stated that Jigsaw’s architect was tasked with adding value by ensuring ‘every unit is a corner unit’ and incorporating hotel-like features.
She added that resident facilities include a half-Olympic-sized pool, alongside other conveniences like a basement car park.
“I feel confident saying Jigsaw sets a new standard for Kuching. Reporters and social media influencers at the preview commented on the design, the corner-unit concept, and luxury aspects like the double-glazed windows that make the units so quiet inside.
“People can see Jigsaw offers unique selling points while being priced at market rate,” she said, adding that Jigsaw is located opposite the Kuching airport.
Earlier this year, HSL announced Langit Citadines Kuching, a 27-storey luxury condo with hotel at Jalan Tabuan, which will begin construction soon.
HSL is also finalising results for its second national architecture competition with the Malaysian Institute of Architects called ‘AIR’, which is to find the best master plan for a 13.5-acre site next to Saradise.
