SIBU: The Sibu Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) will hold an outreach programme to help young jobseekers in Kanowit to register with the national job search portal, MyFutureJobs.
The programme, ‘Mini Karnival Kerjaya Outreach’, which is in collaboration with the Kanowit parliamentary service centre, will be held at the Kanowit Sports Complex today.
A SOCSO spokesman said the programme would be officiated by Deputy Health Minister and Kanowit Member of Parliament Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.
“This Kanowit outreach interview programme is held to help youths in Kanowit district to land jobs as well as help them register with MyFutureJobs.
“The interview will start from 8.30am to 3pm,” he said.
He said a total of 10 employers namely, Press Metal Bintulu Sdn Bhd, Ikopbaris Berhad, Shin Yang Wood System Sdn Bhd, Menawan Wood Sdn Bhd, PMB Silicon Sdn Bhd, Gezhouba Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, iMart Xcel Sdn Bhd, One Medicare Sdn Bhd, Bangi Resort Hotel and Alliance Steel (M) Sdn Bhd will participate in the carnival.
Registration can be done through https://bit.ly/F87KARNIVALKANOWIT and after that participants will be contacted to attend the interview.
Interviewees are required to bring their resume, passport size photograph and relevant copies of academic certificates.
“Besides that, we will also provide information on the latest benefits provided by SOCSO under Act 789 of the Self-Employed Social Security Scheme (SKSPS) which benefits the community in the Kanowit area,” said Aaron.
