KUCHING: Jogger Yeo Beng Choon, 60, collapsed at Reservoir Park at 8am yesterday and died at the Sarawak General Hospital at 12.17pm.
Yeo, from Jalan Angsana, Star Garden, was described by his wife as an active sportsman. She said he used to jog alone daily at the park.
Yesterday, after he suddenly collapsed, some fellow joggers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Yeo while others called for an ambulance.
His wife, a teacher from Chung Hua School, said she was informed by a neighbour that her husband had collapsed and was rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital.
She said she was shocked as her husband was considered a healthy man.
A neighbour also went to Reservoir Park to take back his running shoes and drive back his car.
The police have classified the case as sudden death. A post mortem will be conducted on Tuesday.
