MELBOURNE, Australia: Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived here early yesterday morning.
He is leading a state delegation on a week-long study visit to the States of Victoria and Tasmania.
Yesterday morning, on the first day of the itinerary, Johari and his entourage visited the Siemens plant where they were briefed by officials.
They also visited Swinburne University where they were briefed on digitalisation and the varsity’s quest towards Industry 4.0.
Later, in the afternoon, the Chief Minister and his entourage visited the State Control Centre of Emergency Management, Victoria where all the services of relevant agencies were managed and brought together in response to emergencies.
Later, Johari and his entourage proceeded to the Telstra Innovation Lab to gain insights into the company’s growth, development and innovation programme.

Members of Johari’s entourage comprised the State Secretary, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohammad Morshidi bin Haji Abdul Ghani, Chairman of SEDC, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Abdul Aziz Hussain, Deputy State Secretary, Datu Sabariah Putit, Acting State Financial Secretary, Datu Laura Lee and a number of senior officers of the state government and local universities.
