MIRI: The 2019 Miri Country Music Festival (MCMF) is set to highlight a Dolly Parton tribute act – Diamond Dolly from the United Kingdom and Johnny Cash experience from Germany.
The music festival is set to be held here from Nov 22-23 at the Coco Cabana.
“I am excited to see that we have a good variety of performers for the MCMF this year. It will be the first time that we get impersonators of Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton to perform here in Sarawak,” said Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shim Assistant Minister during a brief press conference yesterday.
Other confirmed performers are Joe Ferdinands F&F (Singapore), Os Pombos (Kuala Lumpur), The Casual Ceilidh Band (Brunei), Frankie & His Music Machine (Miri) and Lost Soulz (Miri).
“The event has evolved over the years and it is no longer just a music event but also a lifestyle and social event that is suitable for the whole family,” said Lee.
Also present at the press conference were the festival advisor Gracie Geikie, Fun Borneo Sdn Bhd Management director Ian Kuek and Mega Hotel operations manager Javaerlyne John Jutie.
