KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Branch is proud to announce a significant community initiative, a Blood and Organ Donation Campaign paired with a Free Health Screening event, set to take place next Sunday (Sept 29).

This event will run from 10 am until 2 pm at the bustling Summer Mall, Kota Samarahan providing a convenient location for community members to participate.

The primary aim of the blood donation campaign is to save lives and ensure the continued availability of blood supplies at the Blood Bank, Sarawak General Hospital here.

“Blood donation is crucial, and each donation can make a tremendous difference for patients in need of transfusions.

“Hence, the campaign seeks to encourage as many individuals as possible to come forward and contribute to this life-saving cause.

“Simultaneously, to foster a culture of health and well-being in the community,there will be free health screening,” it said in a statement.

These screenings will include essential tests such as blood sugar assessments, blood pressure monitoring, body mass index (BMI) evaluations, and opportunities for medical consultations.
