KUCHING: Residents can lace up their running shoes and boost their cybersecurity knowledge at the CyberSarawak Awareness Run 2024 on December 1 at Padang Merdeka.
Organised by the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) in collaboration with Kuching North City Commission (DBKU), the event will take place coinciding with DBKU’s “Car Free Morning” programme.
“Registration for the run opens on November 9 at 8 am via the portal gritevent.com/smarun2024,” said SMA in a statement.
“We encourage participation across all ages and fitness levels, with categories including a 3km Family Walk (RM15), a 5km Fun Run (RM20), and a 10km competitive run (RM25). The top five finishers in the men’s and women’s 10km categories will receive cash prizes.”
Beyond the run itself, the event promises a day filled with informative activities.
“Attendees can participate in talks by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and SAINS,” it added.
“There will also be online quizzes and lucky draws for participants.”
Space is limited to only 2,000 participants, so those interested are encouraged to register early.
