KUCHING: Parti Bangsa Malaysia’s (PBM) priority now is to get the party to be part of Barisan Nasional (BN).
In saying this, its president Larry Sng said that as far as seats were concerned, they would be discussed later on.
“This goes for all the seats,” he told New Sarawak Tribune when contacted yesterday (June 11).
Larry, who is also the Julau MP, was prompted to comment on UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan’s remarks that PBM joining BN was bound to cause problems.
Ahmad said that BN had already decided that it would not be fielding any candidates in the 15th General Election (GE 15).
“Any decision on PBM being a part of BN will be made through consensus by the component parties, that is UMNO, MCA, MIC, and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS).
“But where will Sng contest (if PBM joins BN) as BN has already decided not to contest in Sarawak?” Ahmad was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.
