KUCHING: Katimas Group of Companies, together with the Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank and Emart Tabuan Jaya, will hold the ‘1 Pint, 3 Miracle Blood Donation Campaign’ tomorrow (Sept 3) at Emart Tabuan Jaya here from 9 am to 2 pm.
The campaign is a corporate social responsibility initiative by the company that aims to address the urgent need for blood supply and encourage community engagement in saving lives.
“The campaign will focus on increasing the number of blood donors, encouraging repeat donations, and raising awareness about the critical need for blood,” it said in a statement yesterday.
The company said the tagline “Giving Others Another Living Chance” underscores that one bag of blood can potentially save up to three lives as stated by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
“This community-driven campaign also seeks to empower individuals to take an active role in improving health outcomes and positively impacting society,” it added.
