KUALA LUMPUR: Smart parking app solution provider JomParkir Sdn Bhd (JomParking) aims to triple the number of its users to one million next year by expanding its service to other countries in Southeast Asia.
Chief executive officer Muhamad Nasir Habizar said the company wants to explore overseas markets such as Indonesia and Myanmar to create more hassle-free parking environment in the world.
“We are exploring more sites, locally and internationally, and we are confident of surpassing our target,” he said.
JomParking has secured over 330,000 users since it began operations in 2015.
Currently, the company is operating at 19 sites in Malaysia, including areas under the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the Seremban Municipal Council, the Tawau Municipal Council and the Southern Integrated Terminal in Kuala Lumpur.
Muhamad Nasir said JomParking hit a milestone this year when it expanded its business to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in October.
He hopes many more Malaysians will opt for this new payment method through the JomParking app as it offers a more convenient parking experience and a safer alternative for ladies.
“We provide smart parking solutions for our users in three simple steps. The payment options we provide include online banking, credit cards, debit cards as well as e-wallet payment gateways such as Boost and GrabPay,” he said.
Regarding JomParking’s financial performance, Muhamad Nasir said the company was poised to grow further in the coming years as digital parking started to boom globally.
“We have seen a strong yearon-year growth of more than three times in the past year. This year we target to achieve RM10 million in revenue,” he added. – Bernama
