KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak’s athletics exponent Jonah Chang Rigan attained his second Sukma medal today.

He secured the silver in the hammer throw event at the Bukit Jalil Stadium here with a 50.56-metre (m) best attempt.

The gold medal went to Negeri Sembilan’s Sadat Marzuqi Ajisan with a 60.63m throw, dominating his competitors.

Meanwhile, Perlis’s Rizad Azri Che Radzi settled for bronze with a throw of 46.17m.

Yesterday, Jonah delivered the state’s first Sukma gold medal.

He fulfilled expectations after putting on a stellar performance to emerge champion of the men’s shot put event at the Bukit Jalil Stadium here.

He bagged the gold medal with a throw of 16.65m in the fourth attempt.
