KUCHING: Persatuan Usahawan Bidayuh Penrissen (PUBP) has elected its new office bearers for 2024-2027 during its annual general meeting.
Jores Sedek was unanimously retained as its chairman, while Leonard Sepoi was elected as his deputy, replacing Dr Frank Kiong who had decided not to seek reelection.
Aden Nagrace and Margaret Nyoweng were retained as secretary and treasurer, respectively.
The AGM also saw Gabriel Michael Tomi being elected as the new assistant secretary replacing Agatha Charlotte and Benadin Simbor as the new assistant treasurer.
Four ordinary members elected were Alexson Kuye, Ramos Jepos, Erik Niru, and Phyllis Tobi.
Present to officiate at the opening of the AGM, held at the PUBP Office cum PUBP Incubator Centre at Borneo Highland Commercial Centre, Jalan Puncak Borneo, was PUBP advisor for economy Wilson Mapus.
Speaking after the AGM, Jores said the new PUBP office cum PUBP Incubator Centre will be officially opened for business mid-month.
He said the PUBP Incubator Centre would be manned by a manager and an administrative executive.
“We’ll be inviting a reverend to perform a blessing ceremony to mark the opening of the centre on Sunday, July 14,” he added.
