Journalists association gets contributions for blood donation drive

MIRI: The Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad (SOPB) on Friday presented 90 bottles of 500ml Merris Red Palm Oil Classic in support of the Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA)’s blood donation drive to be held here tomorrow (Jan 2).

On hand to receive the contribution on behalf of the NSJA was its president Andy Jong Wang Joon.

According to Jong, the blood drive is scheduled to be held at the first floor of Bintang Megamall’s new wing from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

He said the event would be officially launched by Miri Hospital director Dr Jack Wong.

Each successful blood donors will receive a 1kg bag of rice, 500ml Merris Red Palm Oil Classic, goodies bag (Indocafe); certificate of appreciation, limited edition ang pow envelopes and calendar from NSJA.

Apart from that, SJA also received 100 pieces of recycle bags from Miri City Council (MCC).
