SIBU: About 50 members of the press and their families attended a Gawai Raya dinner organised by Sibu Journalists Association here recently.
The dinner which was held at Tua Pek Kong Sibu had Dudong assemblyman and chairman of Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Datuk Tiong Thai King as guest of honour.
According to SJA president Hii Hong Wei, the dinner was to further strengthen relationship among members and with the local community leaders.
Also present at the dinner were Sibu Resident Charles Siaw and community leader Temenggong Stanley Geramong.
