MUKAH: New Sarawak Tribune met Parcelia Renyelia, the younger sister of national diving queen Datuk Pandelela Rinong Pamg, at the 14th Mukah Polytechnic convocation ceremony last weekend.
Parcelia, 22, had gone through her course via online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic and despite facing various challenges, everything worked out fine in the end.
“Honestly, I prefer physical learning because there are many distractions in online classes, especially from smartphones, and the situation at home is also not very suitable for online learning.
“So I feel grateful to be able to finish my studies,” she said.
Parcelia said swimming was also a sport that she is into and would always spend time swimming with her prominent sister.
However, she is not into the sport professionally. She is currently working as a librarian at the State Legislative Assembly.
She celebrated her Diploma in Secretarial Science with her father and mother in Mukah.
“Currently, I have a job even though it is not in the same field, but if given a better opportunity, I might accept or consider it.
“To all the lecturers who taught me, thank you. To my father and mother, thank you.”
Parcelia was among 928 students who graduated from the polytechnic last Saturday and Sunday.
