KUCHING: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) conducted ‘Ops Lebih’ around Mukah District, as well as the main routes connecting Mukah, Igan, Oya, and the route to Bintulu.

Nine members from the state JPJ Operations Unit, led by Operations Unit head Jamaluddin Said, and a Mobile Weighing Unit participated in the operation, targeting lorries carrying heavier and more risky loads.

According to Sarawak Information Department (JaPen), state JPJ director Norizan Jili, was present at the Matadeng intersection in Mukah, and was joined by Mukah JPJ head Mohd Hatta Hassim.

“Norizan was given a tour of the operation area as well as a briefing on the operations that took place this week in several locations throughout Mukah District,” JaPen said in a statement on Monday (Sept 27).
