KUCHING: Lanang assemblywoman Alice Lau, in collaboration with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama), will jointly organise the “Jualan Agro Madani” at Sibu Yu Chiong Foodstuff Distributors Sdn Bhd, Grand Height, this Saturday (July 13) at 9am.
At the event, 300 sets of combo Madani will be available for purchase at discounted prices to help the public reduce their living costs.
“This time, the items in the combo Madani include 5kg of rice, 1kg of cooking oil, flour, sugar, instant noodles, eggs, rice vermicelli, biscuits, and canned sardines,” according to a statement on Tuesday (July 9).
“The total market value of these nine food items is RM45.75, but on that day, they will be sold at a special price of RM32 to the first 300 customers.
“Additionally, Sibu Yu Chiong Foodstuff Distributors Sdn Bhd will fulfil its corporate social responsibility by giving away a free bottle of soy sauce to each person who purchases a combo Madani.”
Through this event, the public can save up to 30 per cent or RM13.75, on these essential food items. Only 300 sets will be available on a first come, first served basis until stock runs out.
The Jualan Agro Madani is one of the initiatives introduced by the government to show concern for the people, giving Malaysians the opportunity to purchase food and necessities at prices 10 per cent to 30 per cent cheaper than market prices.
