SIBU: Sibu Member of Parliament Oscar Ling Chai Yew’s service centre successfully organised the Subsidy Madani programme, or “Jualan Kombo Madani”, at Selalo Cafe, Paradom, near here recently.

According to Ling, the event started at 9.30 am and managed to sell 300 sets of food baskets at RM10 per set within an hour. The package included two kilogrammes of rice, instant noodles, sugar, flour, cooking oil, and red onions, which are all daily essentials.

He mentioned that, apart from selling subsidised goods, his service centre also distributed 2025 calendars at the same time. The calendar includes the telephone numbers of many emergency services.

“This is the first event where my service centre has started to distribute the 2025 calendars. Those who are interested in getting the free calendar can also come to my service centre at DAP Rejang Park to collect one,” Ling said.
