KUCHING: Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Dato Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar attended the fund raising dinner of St Nicholas Chapel, Bandar Baru Samariang Fund Raising Dinner at Imperial Hall, Crown Square here last Saturday night.

The dinner was held to raise funds for repairing the damaged water wall at the back of the chapel.

“I request the Sub Deacon of St Nicholas Chapel, Bandar Baru Samariang, Engachok Siong, to send me a letter on the matter and I will forward the issue to the Public Works Department (JKR) so that it can help fix the damage due to the water erosion,” said Junaidi.

He added that the public needed to take care of facilities in their worship houses.

“Worship houses such as mosques, churches, temples are places for people to pray and worship and they must be used wisely for community activities,” he added.

Junaidi also said that he always supported activities to upgrade or renovate worship houses regardless of their religions.
