KUCHING: A juvenile from Long Ikang in Baram, who pleaded guilty to an armed robbery charge, was today released on RM5,000 bail with two local sureties.
The Magistrate Court ordered the accused to be released on bail pending his probation report set for April 22.
He was accused of robbing a mother and her daughter with a parang (machette), at a house in Taman Sri Perkasa, Jalan Matang around 9pm last February 14.
The offence was framed under Section 393 of the Penal Code.
Earlier, the court was told that the accused had demanded RM10,000 from the victims.
