KABONG: A total of 21 rural transformation projects will be implemented in Kabong this year utilising the RM5 million RTP fund allocated to the area, said its assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir.
He told this to the reporters when visiting sites for 13 of the proposed projects to be implemented by the Public Works Department (JKR) yesterday.
The projects are construction of a new bridge at the As-Sabirin Mosque worth RM300,000, upgrading of road to the Kabong Muslim cemetery (RM300,000), construction of a concrete jetty at Kampung Hulu Laut (RM500,000), concrete pavement at Kampung Sungai Pala (RM200,000), a new concrete jetty at Kampung Sungai Pala (RM150,000), mini boat terminal at Sungai Kampung Empelam (RM250,000), construction of a bridge at Rumah Ayum Plassu (RM250,000) and a bridge at Sungai Peruntong Kampung Nyabor (RM400,000).
He said the other projects included boat terminals at Rumah Bundan Engkabang (RM200,000), Sungai Pangey Gerigat (RM200,000) and a bridge at Rumah Luang Kabong costing RM300,000.
Mohd Chee was accompanied during the visits by Kabong District Officer Awangku Mohammad Safaie Awangku Sabli and JKR Saratok officer Adrian Linggie Manjan.
