SEBUYAU: It will be a life-changing experience for residents of Kampung Kesindu here when their village gets telecommunications network coverage in the near future.
The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) reported Utilities and Telecommunications Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi as saying that the telecommunications tower – under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) – once operational will make it easier for local residents to enjoy better telecommunications coverage.
He made the announcement after a working visit to the RTP site in Sebuyau District yesterday.
Julaihi, the Sebuyau assemblyman, also said another RTP project in his constituency under the supervision of the Public Works Department (PED) Samarahan Division, is the road upgrading project worth RM150,000.
Besides that, he said, a 300-metre long road project in Kampung Kesindu, Sebuyau worth RM200,000, was implemented under the provisions of the Malaysian Road Records Information System (MARRIS).
