BALINGIAN: Victims of a recent fire in Kampung Lintang here received aid from Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi and local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) on Thursday (May 13).
They contributed cash and food aid to the fire victims.
Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) Mukah staff Haffizul Abdul Halim, who represented Abdul Yakub handed over the aid to the fire victims.
Kampung Lintang headman Hairi Menggali thanked Abdul Yakub and the NGOs for their respective contributions.
The fire, which happened at 9 am on May 12, destroyed three houses in Kampung Lintang. The fire victims are currently staying with their relatives.
