KOTA SAMARAHAN: An active case detection (ACD) for Covid-19 was carried out in Kampung Pinang here today.
The Samarahan Division Disaster Management Committee ordered the ACD operation to be conducted following the recent increase in positive cases in the area.
Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), in a report, said a total of 1,989 residents from 221 houses have undergone the Covid-19 screening test.
It added that the screening was conducted from one house to another as well as at Masjid Kampung Pinang from 9am to 3pm.
The ACD was carried out by 102 health workers including officers from other government agencies.
