They said Kuching, Sibu, Miri, and Beluru Districts maintained their red status with a total of 1,035 local infection cases reported in the four districts in the last fortnight.

They added that Sebauh District also remained orange, with 27 local infection cases recorded.

“The other 15 districts remain green,” said the committee.

SDMC said today, 32 new cases had recovered and been discharged from hospitals in the state, comprising 24 cases from Sibu Hospital and eight from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

This brought the total number of recovered and discharged cases to 1,231 or 47.9 percent of total Covid-19 cases in the state.

As of Wednesday, there were 1,318 individuals still receiving treatment at hospital isolation wards — 841 in Sibu Hospital, Miri Hospital (282), SGH (132), Bintulu Hospital (62), and Limbang Hospital (1).

“There are two Covid-19 cases receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Sibu Hospital.

“Three cases in Sibu Hospital, one case in SGH, and one case in Miri Hospital require equipment support but they are in stable condition.”

SDMC said 204 new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases were reported and three PUIs were still awaiting laboratory results.
