KAPIT: Political secretary to the Chief Minister, Nicholas Kudi Jantai, has commended the good work of the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM) Kapit branch in providing good services to veterans.

“The handing out of cash assistance to 26 veterans is one of the services rendered to members who deserve financial assistance,” said Kudi while officiating at the “Majlis Penyerahan Bantuan Veteran ATM Kelainan Upaya Dan Baru Veteran” on behalf of Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong who is MP Hulu Rajang held at the Kapit Civic Centre recently.

“There are so many veterans in the Kapit, Song, and Belaga districts. Right now, we only have PVATM Kapit that includes members in Song). It is high time to look into setting up a PVATM Belaga because of the distance from Kapit.

“Kapit and Song are now connected by road, so it is easier but so far there is no PVATM in Belaga”, stressed Kudi.
