KUCHING: Kaspa FOne emerged champions of the futsal competition at Samariang Saberkas Sports Carnival 2019 held at Multipurpose Hall of Kampung Semariang Batu in PetraJaya, here, on Sunday.
The winners walked away with RM500 cash prize and trophy while runners-up Kumang FT received RM300 and joint third Jufindo FT and Kick FT (B) won RM100 each.
Samariang assemblywoman cum Saberkas Samariang branch chairwoman and Assistant Minister in Chief Minister’s Office Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali gave away the prizes.
Meanwhile, Kimchi Ft emerged victorious in the nine-a-side football competition to bring home RM500 cash prize and trophy. Second were Goebilt 21 to receive RM300 while joint third winners Five S FT and Gjong FC got RM100 each.
In the netball competition, Wawasan B came out top followed by Wawasan A as Lavander and Kasba finisihed joint third.
The event also included e-sports games where Warmongers Esport won the Mobile Legends category, followed by Team Bunga Cruxenos White and Team Jahok in joint third.
Cloud 9 won the PUBG Mobile, followed by Xtremefrag and Brothers Delta respectively. The netball and e-sports games competitions offered RM300 for the champions, RM200 for runners-up and RM100 for third places.
The carnival, held from Sept 6 to 8, saw a total of 1,148 youths participating with 24 team in 9-a-side football, 24 teams in futsal, 24 teams in netball, 40 squads in PUBG and 24 squads in Mobile Legends competitions. It also held Samariang Fun Run.
