SIBU: Katibas Assemblyman Lidam Assan had a meeting with Sarawak State Implementation Monitoring Unit director Azmi Bujang in Kuching on Friday (Jan 7).

According to him, in the brief meeting session, he had presented several items for the attention of the unit for the benefit of the residents in his constituency.

“I appealed to him for several matters to be taken to the relevant authorities.  Everything discussed is related to the infrastructure and socio economy of the Katibas state constituency.

”I realise we may be a bit behind but with the land connection from Sibu-Song, I am confident and believe that the economy of the Katibas/Song area will be more vibrant in the next few years,” he said on Saturday (Jan 8).

Lidam said plans had been made and it was now up to all not to miss this opportunity to cooperate with him in developing and generating the local economy.

“I hope the people in the Katibas/Song state constituency will work with me to develop our area.
