KUCHING: Sri Pahang FC present a significant challenge for Kuching City FC, (KCFC) as players are urged to enhance their consistency and discipline ahead of the match.
Kuching City FC head coach Aidil Sharin emphasised the importance of stepping up, particularly with key players James Okwuosa and Tcheche Kipre serving suspensions.
“With their absence, it’s crucial for other players to step in and rise to the occasion,” he said. As the Malaysian Super League becomes increasingly competitive, Aidil stressed that every player must continuously strive for improvement.
“All teams are pushing hard in their matches, and I believe everyone has begun to recognise the quality of our football,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Aidil acknowledged that the upcoming game against Sri Pahang FC will be another critical test for The Cats.
“To maintain our position in the league, we need to be more consistent and more disciplined,” he told New Sarawak Tribune recently.
Kuching City FC are set to face Sri Pahang FC at Stadium Temerloh on Saturday (Nov 2) at 5.15pm.
“This is a chance for those stepping in to show their aggression and take advantage of the opportunity to play,” he added. Currently, Kuching City sit in 5th place after 13 matches with 18 points, while Sri Pahang are in 8th place with 15 points after the same number of matches.
