KUCHING: Kuching City FC will face Selangor FC on Sept 13 in a top four encounter.

Selangor FC are currently second in the Malaysian Super League with 19 points, while Kuching City FC are fourth with 14 points.

Head Coach Aidil Sharin acknowledges that the upcoming match against Selangor FC will be a formidable challenge.

“They have quality players, and playing against them away won’t be easy. We need to stay positive,” Aidil told reporters in a recent post-match interview.

The team will be strengthened by the return of James Okwuosa and Filemon Anyie from suspension.

“While it’s encouraging to be near the top, it’s still early in the season. There is a long way to go, and we need to be more consistent.

“This is a new team. This year, only Alif and Jimmy are returning players; the rest are new. We have only been together for five months and are still improving,” he said.
