KUCHING: The Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) is looking to collaborate with Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) and the Centre of Technical Excellence (Centexs) to support Sarawak’s digital economy mission.
KCGCCI’s digital economy committee led by president Datuk Tan Jit Kee visited SDEC and Centexs on Thursday (Nov 18).
They were welcomed by both SDEC chief executive officer Sudarnoto Osman and Centexs chief executive officer Syeed Mohd Hussein.
Committee members were briefed by Sudarnoto about SDEC and its role as the implementing agency to drive Sarawak’s digital economy initiatives.
Next, Syeed introduced the committee to the training courses offered by Centexs and its mission to train more technical people.
Tan, on the other hand, briefed their hosts on KCGCCI’s role, with it being the largest chamber of commerce and industry in Sarawak with over 1,200 member companies.
The chamber had set up the KCGC Innovation Hub in January 2020 to support the mission of the state government.
During the visit, committee members toured the centre, namely the Digital Lab, AVR Cluster Centre, Wireless Lab, Microwave Lab and others.
