SIBU: Kanowit District Longhouse Chiefs’ Association (KDLCA) will hold a pre-Gawai celebration 2017 at Kanowit District Office’s hall on 14 May.
Its chairman Tuai Rumah Petay Sibuk said the event with a theme, “Segulai Sejalai Bersaum Penemu” is also held in conjunction with the association’s 10th anniversary celebration.
“A Kumang Gawai 2017 competition and a cultural performance are part of the entertainment programme,” he said, adding that Kanowit Member of Parliament Datuk Aaron Dagang is the guest-of-honour.
