KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) Sarawak is disappointed that it did not win any seat in the recent state election.
Nonetheless, Keadilan Sarawak thanked the party’s machinery and supporters for their efforts in campaigning during the election.
“We have identified the causes of our loss and studied our weaknesses in order to understand the needs of the people of Sarawak and at the same time prepare our party to face the 15th General Election,” it said in a statement.
Keadilan Sarawak thanked all parties involved including the Election Commission (EC) officers, security personnel and civil servants on duty throughout the election period.
Keadilan Sarawak also respects the decision made by the people and hopes that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) would deliver the people’s mandate with responsibility.
“This is to ensure that Sarawak will obtain better basic infrastructure, efficient public services and provide more job opportunities at the same time, generating a steady economy in the next five years.
“Keadilan Sarawak will continue to fight for the rights of the people of Sarawak and their reformation agenda so that Sarawak is better governed and the fate of the people is protected.
“The party will also ensure a check and balance outside the state assembly so that the GPS government will provide good governance reform and that all Sarawakians will continue to live in harmony and achieve mutual prosperity.”
