SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Sri Huang Tiong Sii has urged the education sector here to keep up with their good work among school going children.

“I have always supported education, including infrastructure development as well as educational assistance such as for uniforms, school bags and shoes throughout my time as assemblyman regardless of race, religion and ethnicity,” he said.

The State government allocates funds every year through the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to revamp school infrastructure and facilities here, he said.

“I hope teachers will continue to work hard using various methods and ICT approaches that benefit our students,” said Huang during an appreciation and Gong Xi Fa Cai gathering for Sarikei District Education Office held at a hotel here on Wednesday night (March 2).

It was held to give recognition to teachers, officers and support staff members of the Sarikei District Education Office as well as to celebrate the Chinese New Year celebration.
