DARO: A non-governmental organisation (NGO) Pertubuhan Graduan Pulau Bruit (PGPB) presented kek lapis to 242 senior citizens and asnaf (poor) from four villages around here on Sunday.
The four villages were Kpg Sebakau, Kpg Sedi, Kpg Semop and Kpg Betanak.
PGPB secretary Raduan Serap said the programme was a continuation of the Infaq Ramadan Al-Mubarak programme held last month.
“The programme was to replace the Ziarah Aidilfitri programme which could not be held this year due to the implementation of the movement control order (MCO).
“Through it, we hoped to introduce PGPB to the whole community of Pulau Bruit apart from fostering ties among the organisation and the public,” he said in a statement on the same day.
The programme was also organised in collaboration with Pulau Bruit auxiliary firefighters and shipping course trainees from Pulau Bruit Graduates Association.
