Kelab Rekreasi Batu Tiga Kuching to host dinner and singing competition awards ceremony

KUCHING: Kelab Rekreasi Batu Tiga Kuching is set to host a gala dinner cum awards presentation ceremony for the final round of its singing competition on Friday (Sept 8).
The event will take place at the function hall of Chong Hua Primary School No. 3 at 6.30pm, marking the club’s 7th anniversary.
“The event aims to strengthen rapport among members, cultivate interests and hobbies, and create a happy and healthy environment for both members and the community within the 3rd mile region.
“Additionally, the club is actively involved in charity work for those in need and hopes to continue its charitable efforts through this event,” said organising chairman Gerald Goh on Tuesday (Sept 5).
The preliminary round of the singing competition was held on Sunday (Sept 3) at Xiang Xiang Karaoke, where 12 contestants out of 26 were selected to compete in the finals.
Prizes for the final round include RM400 for the champion, RM300 for the second place, RM200 for the third place, RM100 for the fourth place, and RM50 consolation prizes for the remaining contestants.
Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian will be the guest of honour to officiate the award presentation ceremony, with Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang attending as the special guest.
