KUCHING: Mohd Hamdhan Bakhtiar and Azlin Asyiqin from Kelantan emerged champions at the grand final of the Bintang P.Ramlee 2018 held at the Indoor Stadium in Petra Jaya here last Saturday night. Their duet song was “Semarak Hati” while Hamdhan’s solo song was “Kata Dari Kalbu”.

The couple defeated five other couples to bring home RM20,000 cash. The prize was handed over by the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib.

Meanwhile, the first runners-up were Syazrul Nizam Matusin and Maizatul Asfa Marzuki from Sabah; their duet song was “Abadi Cinta Kita” while Syazrul’s solo song was “Barang Yang Lepas Jangan Dikenang”.

The couple went home with RM15,000 cash. Meanwhile, the second runners-up were Danie Hasbullah Mohd Razi and Che Rohaida Che Daud from Selangor. Their duet song was “Bulan Dan Juga Angin” while Danie’s solo song was “ Ku Rindu Padamu”. They received RM10,000 cash. The Best Performance category was won by a finalist from Sarawak, Zainal Bojet and his singing partner, Siti Azliyani Jasini; their duet song was “Resam Dunia” while Zainal’s solo song was “Mengapa Pilu Saja”. They received RM2,000 for winning the Best Performance category and RM5,000 for winning the consolation prize in the grand final of the singing contest.

Other finalists, namely, Azfar Don Zulkamal Azmi and Anisa Izulya Mohd Aziz from Perlis and M.D Wahidul Zaman Bahrudin and Nuruk Aishah Sulaiman Juhari from Terengganu received RM5,000 respectively. • More pictures on page 4
