KUCHING: About 24 vendors have collaborated with the Ministry of Welfare, Community, Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development in the implementation of the Kenyalang Gold Card next year.
Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah revealed that the Kenyalang Gold Card had 24 vendors from four divisions in Sarawak namely, Kuching, Miri, Limbang and Lawas, and “have agreed to give benefits to cardholders”.
“So far, these vendors include shoes, food outlets, optical, medical, health products and services, transportation, employment, and telecommunication.
“These vendors will give cardholders benefits such as discounts and rebates, among others,” she said during the press conference at Bangunan Baitulmakmur here, yesterday.
Those aged 60 and above can apply for the Kenyalang Gold Card.
Fatimah also added that the Kenyalang Gold Card would also be digitalised as the ministry would be developing the i-KWKPK App system, expected to be launched next year.
i-KWKPK App is developed by the ministry in collaboration with Social Community Technology (Socoe) Sdn Bhd.
It is currently in the process of being proposed to the Sarawak Cabinet.
