KERIS holds ‘ibadah korban’ at Surau Darul Hamra

KUCHING: The slaughtering of sacrificial animal (Ibadah Korban) was held at the compound of Surau Darul Hamra, Fire and Rescue Service Department Petra Jaya near here early yesterday morning.
 The slaughtering ceremony was held in conjunction with Aidiladha organised by  Sarawak Immigration Department Recreation Club (Kelab Rekreasi Imigresen Sarawak) (KERIS). The club donated two cows for the ceremony.
 The sacrificial cows were slaughtered, carved, cut, cleaned, weighed and packed before the meat were distributed.
Also present at the ceremony were Director of Sarawak Immigration Department, Ken Anak Leben and his deputy  Haji Hamfatullah Syawal bin Haji Hamdan, Director of Sarawak Fire and Rescue Services Department, Nor Hisham bin Mohammad, KERIS Deputy President, Mohd Zamzami bin Marzuki, heads of departments, and senior officers.
