KUCHING: Majlis Amanah Rakyat’s (MARA) commitment in helping to produce skillful human capital is evident when recipients from its educational institutions managed to achieve outstanding results and were celebrated in conjunction with the Institut Pendidikan MARA (IPMA) 2022 Carnival yesterday (July 17).
Educational facilities provided by MARA have opened up many opportunities for school leavers who wish to further their studies to a higher level.
New Sarawak Tribune met with a few recipients who achieved excellent performance in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2021.

I am very happy to get to further my studies in Diploma in Electrical Competence (Domestic and Industrial). This course is not easy to get in. This programme is definitely for the future of the state because the Premier of Sarawak has stressed a lot on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
MOHD ADIB ANNUAR, 18
STUDENT
I am lucky to be able to pursue my studies in the course that I have keen interest in, which is Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology (Food) at University Kuala Lumpur (UNIKL) and I owe it to my father for encouraging me to pursue this course. My advice to all those still studying is to manage their time wisely in between studies and doing leisure activities.
LANA LUWINSKY UWING, 18
RECIPIENT OF CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE SPM 2021- MRSM BETONG
I am delighted to receive this certificate because it shows how MARA is supporting us and this is like a gift to us for our efforts and success. This certificate, too, acts as an advantage, especially during an interview and encourages fellow MARA students to continue to be motivated in their studies. Among the keys to my success are the blessings from both parents and teachers and also my own efforts, especially in my studies.
CLARISSA LISA ANNETTE EDMOND, 18
RECIPIENT OF CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE SPM 2021- MRSM BETONG
I am happy to receive such a recognition from MARA. I am currently applying for a scholarship from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and wish to pursue my studies in Electrical Power Engineering at Tenaga National University (UNITEN). My advice to fellow students out there is to study at your own pace and need to know your own strengths and weaknesses.
