MUKAH: As many as 248 land titles under Tanah Seksyen 18 KTN (Kampung Tradisional) were given to 244 residents from two villages in Daro – Kampung (Kg) Masjid and Kg Panchor, on Tuesday (April 19).
“The owner of this land has permanent holding, won’t be charged yearly land tax, cost of perimeter survey and preparation of the land title deed, and land premium exemption,” said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
His speech was read by Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad during a ceremony to hand over the deeds at Daro Community Hall.
“As of now, there are 64,843 residency lots involving 386 villages from all over Sarawak that had been surveyed.
“From the number, a total of 53,526 lots (owners) had received their deeds.”
Also present were Igan MP Ahmad Johnny Zawawi and acting Mukah Resident Shafrie Saili.
