Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are launching a fragrance together. The sisters and beauty entrepreneurs have teamed up to create a trio of ‘Kylie Jenner by KKW Fragrances,’ set to go on sale on April 26.
“These lip-shaped fragrances offer notes of red lotus blossoms, liquid amber and peony,” explained Kardashian to her 134 million Instagram followers. Accompanying the caption was a photo of the siblings holding their new perfume bottles, which are shaped like lips and come in nude, pink and red shades (perhaps as a reference to the logo of Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics beauty empire).
The pair first sparked rumors of a joint perfume project earlier this month, when they were seen testing and selecting various scents in an episode of their family reality TV show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
This isn’t the first time that the sisters have worked together — last November saw them launch a four-piece ‘KKW X Kylie’ lip colour series with shade names such as ‘Soul Sister,’ ‘Double Trouble,’ ‘Twinning’ and ‘Main Bae’ referencing their close relationship. Prior to that, they had also created a limited-edition range of ‘KKW Beauty by Kylie Cosmetics’ liquid lipsticks that was released back in 2017.
Given the success of their individual beauty ventures, the new fragrance is likely to be an instant hit with fans. Kylie Cosmetics has seen its popularity skyrocket since its launch in 2015, reportedly earning its founder a cool US$900 million by 2018, while KKW Fragrance, along with KKW Beauty, has reportedly netted Kim US$350 million. – Relaxnews
