BINTULU: A kitchen of an eatery premises at BDA Shahida Commercial Centre here caught fire this morning.
Fortunately, swift action by the premises owner managed to contain the fire from spreading further using fire extinguishers.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
According to a report by Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department, a team of firemen from Bintulu fire station was mobilised to the scene upon responding to an emergency call received at 10.14 am.
Officials said that the fire was extinguished upon their arrival at the scene.
Firemen left the scene after conducting a safety check at the area and its surrounding.
