MIRI: The 16th Borneo International Kite Festival (BIKF) 2023 to be held from Sept 27 to Oct 1 at the Bintulu Old Airport is expected to draw 40 participants including those from abroad, after being postponed for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) general manager Datu Muhamad Yakup Kari, participants will be coming from the US, Japan, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Singapore, Brunei, China, Taiwan, Italy, Ukraine and elsewhere.

He said this on Tuesday after receiving a RM150,000 sponsorship for the event  from Bintulu Port Authority (BPA).

The cheque was handed by BPA’s assistant general manager Anuar Aikne.
