KUCHING: The issue of safeguarding the copyright of media practitioners’ work has caught the attention of the Communications and Digital Ministry (KKD), demonstrating their commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of these individuals.
Its Minister Fahmi Fadzil acknowledges the rampant misuse of media practitioners’ work, including images and articles, without proper authorization, particularly on social media platforms.
“I have received complaints from fellow journalists about misuse, where watermarked images are removed. It is reasonable for us to have a discussion with social media platform providers to address this issue,” he said.
