PULLMAN Kuching continues to introduce something new to the food adventurers in Kuching city. This time it is the Korean Food Festival, held from 26th June to 9th July 2017 and crafted by its very own Korean Chef Lee Seung Joon and his team of chefs. With the increasing interest and number of followings on Korean food in Kuching, such as the growing popularity of various type of Korean instant noodles and flavours, the Korean Food Festival came at the right time, with Pullman Kuching serving an authentic cuisine prepared fresh from the kitchen by its Korean chef and his Korean assistant chef.
This is the first ever Korean food promotion introduced by the hotel, offering both Ala Carte and buffet dinner at the Puzzle restaurant. What’s more, there is an actual Korean connection not only through its Korean chefs but for the fact that Pullman Kuching’s general manager, Mr Charles Choi, is also a Korean. Guests can be assured of the authenticity of the cuisine.
“Kimchi” a traditional and staple food in Korean cuisine and side dish that comes in numerous varieties is no longer a foreign word to Kuchingites. Similarly, from lunch-time until 6.00pm, the Ala Carte menu comes with more than 17 side dishes.
The notable menu to start with are the Ttugbaegi Bulgogi offering marinated premium New Zealand beef rib eye, Dol sot bibimbap with assorted vegetable and egg yolk cooked in Korean stone pot and served with side dish and daily soup, Heamul deonjang jjigae with traditional soya bean paste soup in mixed seafood, vegetable, tofu and served with steamed rice with side dish and Beef Galbi jjim with slow cooked New Zealand beef served with steamed rice. With numerous mouth-watering dishes to choose from, the buffet dinner is of course more elaborate.
