KUCHING: About 150 members of the Sarawak Women Cooperative (KOWASA) from Sibu, Miri and Kuching attended its general meeting in conjunction with KOWASA’s 45th anniversary.

At the same time, KOWASA also hosted its Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri at Merdeka Palace hotel today.

The event was officiated by Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.

“KOWASA is the best women’s cooperative in the whole state.

“I was made understand that this cooperative has received an A+ rating, which is not an easy process.

“I hope that this cooperative can further improve its performance and maintain the trust placed in it,” she said.

She assured the members of KOWASA that she will remain supportive of whatever activities or programme hosted by the cooperative.

She added that the cooperative can always seek assistance from her party including financial aid.

A cooperative is a business entity, she stressed.
