DARO: The road upgrading project at Kampung Badong constructed at a cost of RM100,000 was completed last November.
According to Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad, the project was implemented under the 2022 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).
“Alhamdulillah, this road upgrade project is beneficial in providing better comfort and convenience to the nearby residents,” he said when contacted by reporters today.
Safiee noted that the project is part of a continuous effort by the Sarawak government to develop infrastructure in rural areas, especially in villages and longhouses.
“I hope that such a project to develop the socio-economics of the residents will be able to increase their convenience and comfort,” he said.
Earlier in his Facebook posting, Safiee shared that he officiated at the opening ceremony of the road upgrading project on Thursday (Dec 15).
Also present during the launching ceremony were representatives of the Daro district officer, Yusuf Hossien, Penghulu Yusuf Bakeri and Kampung Badong headman Haslimie Hassan.
